Preschool Ministry
Welcome to Open Door's Preschool Ministry. Our church preschool ministry serves children from six weeks through 4 years old. We have eight preschool classes, divided by age, that provide meaningful play and interaction. Children enrolled in the Ones B through Threes B classes also participate in our Sunday School lessons, which are reinforced through centers and crafts.
Each preschool class is equipped with age appropriate learning tools and toys to provide a safe, clean, fun, and engaging experience for the children.

Visitors & Enrollment
We ask that all first-time visitors complete a visitor card so we will know about any special needs your child(ren) may have.
If you have attended the Discovery Class and would like to enroll your child(ren) in a preschool class(es), please click here to contact the Preschool Director.
If you are an ODBC member with a child enrolled in preschool, please visit the ODBC Preschool Parent Website to check the calendar, volunteer schedule, view the preschool directory, update your contact information, or enroll a new baby. Keeping your information updated is important to us.
Volunteer Opportunities
Parents of preschoolers serving once per month in our preschool ministry is vital to the ministry's operation, however, we still need volunteers to help staff all of our classes each week. If you are interested, please contact us. We can help you find a time and place that is right for you. Below is a list of how you may serve. If you have other ideas of how you can serve the preschool ministry, please let us know.
- SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER
- PRESCHOOL COORDINATOR
- CHILDCARE VOLUNTEER (once per month or once per quarter)
If you are not a member, but would like to serve as a permanent preschool volunteer, please click here to contact the Preschool Director or call the church office to see if you meet the requirements.
Check-in /out Procedures
Please wait at the door until a worker is able to take your child and belongings from you. Please label all of your child’s belongings. Inform the worker about all feeding, changing, etc. instructions and make sure they are recorded on the label and board.
No one is allowed in the area with the children except the authorized workers.
If an emergency arises, you will be notified immediately. We can page/text your cell phone (remember to set it to vibrate).
At pick-up time, please make sure you have your label stub with corresponding number BEFORE coming to the room. Children are not released unless you have this item. Your child’s safety is very important to us, so please help us by keeping up with your stub.
