For All People

Jesus sent his disciples to the nations to make disciples (c.f., Matt 28). While the gospel was initially proclaimed among the Jewish people and found it's fulfillment in Jesus, a Jewish man, it is not exclusively for the Jewish people. The gospel is for all people, all ethnicities, from all the countries of the world. At Open Door we are delighted to take part in God's mission to advance his gospel to all people. While we have many missionaries who have gone out from us to the nations, we also believe that it is critical to view our neighborhoods as a missionfield as well. In North Raleigh alone we have a variety of nationalities and races. Open Door celebrates diversity in the best way possible by being a multi-cultural church. We are privileged to have an Hispanic Ministry, a Chinese Ministry, and a French speaking Congolese Ministry. Each of these ministries celebrates and practices the gospel in unique ways, and each has a degree of autonomy at Open Door. However, we also strive to practice a corporate-ness to our multi-cultural ministry and are blessed to have these various ministries participate in our Sunday morning worship together.
