Student Ministry
The student ministry at Open Door is committed to shepherding the entire family through weekly discipleship opportunities that consist of both age graded ministry as well as ministry involving the family.
Open Door's student ministry seeks to be defined by these characteristics:
- We recognize that God has given the church the responsibility to make disciples, and our student ministry seeks to disciple each family, which includes the parents as well as the children.
- We recognize that God has given parents the responsibility to disciple their children, and raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We as a church desire to prepare our parents to raise their families in a way that brings glory to God.
- We recognize that the Spirit of God indwells every believer and desire to encourage students and their families to be serving the body within the church.

Weekly Ministry
Wednesday Night Outreach
As a church it is our desire to minister faithfully within the community that God has placed us in. On Wednesday evenings our youth and their families will be taking the light of Christ to a local nursing home as well as organizing other opportunities to faithfully live out the gospel amongst those that God has placed in our community. Overall we want to love North Raleigh with the love that Christ has first shown us.
LIFT Groups
Every week during the Fall and Spring semesters, we meet on our campus to hang out and learn about some practical issues for life. LIFT (LIVING IN FELLOWSHIP TOGETHER) groups meet from 5:30pm-7:30pm on Sunday nights. The goal of LIFT groups is to prepare our youth as early as 7th grade to understand the importance of Biblical Fellowship and how to live their lives as a part of a community of believers. We seperate our Jr. High and Sr. High for LIFT groups and have leaders that take the time to lead biblical discussion and help apply the Scripture to their lives as the youth learn the importance of accountability, encouragement, and prayer for one another.
YBF
During this time, the youth come to fellowship and use God's word to dig deeper into issues that directly affect their lives. Our study begins as a large group and then divides into smaller groups for more intense discussion. The lessons are taught as part of a six year integrated curriculum that the entire church is going through at the same time, that focuses on the redemptive plan of God from Genesis to Revelation.
We have divided our Sunday school into 4 groups: 7th-8th grade girls, 9th-12th grade girls, , 7-8th grade boys, and 9th-12th grade boys. Sunday morning Bible Study for Youth (YBF) begins every Sunday Morning at 9:30AM in our youth room.
