What is the gospel?
The gospel is the reality of God's work since the beginning of time to rescue us from sin, from brokenness, and from ourselves. This work is centered around and built upon the person of Jesus, who lived the perfect life we should have lived, died the death we deserved to die, and physically resurrected from death to defeat death and hell. It is the good news that only through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus can we be rescued, redeemed, delivered, healed, cleansed, satisfied, and liberated to live a glorious life in submission to God. It is this rescue and deliverance that daily frees us from the the lesser things that enslave us, empowering us to live lives that are an enthusiastic and passionate pursuit of the glory of God.
