For the Community

As we seek to fulfill our mission to love God and make his gospel known, we want to meet the tangible needs of our community. We do this through our Biblical Counseling program, teaching English as a second language, and distributing food to our community through our Food Pantry. If you are interested in any of these ministries, you can find more information below or Contact us!

Biblical Counseling

Open Door Church provides church-based, Christ-centered, biblical counseling to individuals, couples, and families to help them find and apply God’s answers for their personal and relational problems. As a ministry of Open Door, we offer this service to our members and to the community. We have male and female trained biblical counselors who are active members of Open Door ready to help you. For more information about this ministry please visit our Biblical Counseling page.

Open Door church’s English classes serve the community through formal classroom instruction and relational conversation building toward a greater aptitude in the English language. No prior ESL training is required to serve. Different roles include Lead Teacher, Assistant Teacher, Administration/Welcome Desk, and Childcare. Our ESL program meets once a week on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30pm. We have a 15-20 minute conversation cafe time in the middle, with coffee, tea, and snacks. This provides an opportune time for us to get to better know our students and engage in gospel conversation.

Food Pantry

The Open Door Food Pantry provides basic food staples to those in need of food in our community. There are no fees, no limits on visits per month, and no eligibility requirements to receive food. Operation hours are Saturdays from 11am-noon, with check-in beginning at 10:30am.
