Phoenix, AZ | Oct 8-15 2022
Open Door is leading a mission trip to Phoenix, AZ to serve with our church plant, Mercy Hill Church, from October 8 through the 15. We will be doing outreach ministry through their food pantry and an evening basketball camp.
Open Door helped to re-plant Mercy Hill Church in 2015, and Anthony Cox serves as the Lead Pastor. He and his wife, Karla, and their three boys were members of Open Door before moving to Phoenix. Mercy Hill Church has about 200 members and is an inner-city church, located in downtown Phoenix. The downtown area has been revitalizing for the past several years. There are 13,000 college students less than a mile from the church campus. The city is seeing many young business professionals moving into the area. Mercy Hill loves her city and desires to see it impacted with the hope of Christ. We are excited to partner with them through the Pillar Network, and to have the opportunity to serve with them this fall.
Pittsburgh, PA | July 8-13 2023
We’re taking a team of 10-15 people to Pittsburgh on July 8-13, 2023 to serve one of our church plants, Christ Central Church. This trip will include helping them transition into a new building with some projects (painting, maintenance, etc.) as well as helping them with their basketball nights. Barranquilla, Colombia | September 14-20 2023
Open Door will send a team of 10-15 people to serve alongside Rescue Mission Church; a Pillar Network partner in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia. We will serve the church and the community in a variety of ways, including teaching English. If you are interested in participating in this trip, contact Jay Veverka.
