FOOD PANTRY MINISTRY AT OPEN DOOR
The mission of the church Food Pantry is to be the hands and feet of Jesus by providing healthy food choices to those dealing with food insecurity in our community.

What is the Food Pantry?

Open Door Church's Food Pantry is committed to serving and providing for individuals and families in our community who struggle with food insecurity. We believe that every person has inherent value and dignity, and we seek to honor that through offering support and resources to those in need. Our Food Pantry is staffed by caring volunteers who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our neighbors. We work to provide a variety of healthy food options, including fresh produce, canned goods, and pantry staples, to meet the unique needs and preferences of those we serve. Our ultimate goal is to help alleviate hunger and to foster a sense of community and compassion for all who enter our doors.

What We Do

Every week, our volunteers pick up food from the Food Bank and other sources, stock it at our church, and distribute it to those in need every Saturday. Our goal is to provide not only physical nourishment but also a welcoming and supportive environment to those who come through our doors. Our volunteers not only distribute food, but they take time to pray with each of our shoppers. We believe that by serving our community in this way, we are embodying the love of Christ and sharing His message of hope and grace with those around us. Hours of operation are Saturdays from 11am to noon, with check-in beginning at 10:30am.
