Kids' TREK

Kids TREK is a Sunday evening ministry (5:15-6:30) providing elementary-age kids with an engaging and creative way to explore God’s word and His work in the world. It consists of four six-week sessions from August to May with a variety of “tracks” offered each session. Kids will register for a specific track each session. If you need to take a session off, Kids’ TREK allows for that flexibility. At Kids' TREK we aim to see kids:

• Treasuring Our God
• Reflecting His Glory
• Engaging Our World
• Knowing His Word

Fall 2 Track Descriptions:

Discover the Bible: The Gospels (K-2nd grade)

In Discover the Bible, kids will learn about the Gospels by studying the New Testament. By reading specific passages and learning about Jesus’ life on earth with the disciples, kids will gain a better understanding of how we ourselves can imitate Christ and go with the Gospel today.

How to Study the Bible: The Psalms (3rd-5th grade)

By using the Read - Discover - Apply - Pray process of Bible study, kids will explore the various chapters in Psalms. There they will see God’s faithfulness and how His people responded with vulnerability and praise to encourage us to do the same today through trial and victory.

God & Sports (3rd - 5th Grades)

Sports are a universal language, transcending countries and culture and, often acting as a way to bring very diverse people groups together. In this track, kids will learn how to properly view sports in light of Paul’s encouragement that Christians do “all things to the glory of God.”

Personal Evangelism (K - 2nd Grades)

In Personal Evangelism, kids will discover how God has called those who love Him, to go into a lost world and tell others the good news of the Gospel! The Great Commission will be highlighted and tools will be learned of ways the young can make a difference by knowing and sharing the love of Jesus.

Worship (K - 5th Grades)

In our Worship Track, kids will study various Scripture passages that help us understand the “who, what, when, where, why, and how” of worship. Each week, these students will learn songs that will be sung on Sunday morning in December as part of our Christmas celebration.
