OD Student Ministry
The Student Ministry at Open Door desires to see students walk faithfully with the Lord over the course of a lifetime. We do this through loving God, loving others, and going with His gospel.
Equip Groups are groups of 1 volunteer and 2-3 students that meet biweekly for 1 hour. These groups focus on life on life discipleship, particularly in the areas of prayer, meditation, and memorization. Open Door Student Equip Groups consist of:
- A volunteer and students of the same gender
- Students of the same grade level (ie. all middle school or all high school)
- No more than 3 students
- Conversations between Equip Group leaders, students, and their parents
Equip Groups will meet on the off week from their respective Care Groups. For Middle School, this means that Equip Groups will meet on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month, and High School Equip Groups will meet on the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month. The Equip Group leader will work with their students and parents to determine which nights will work best for the group to meet.
For more information or to sign up a student for Equip Groups, please contact our Middle School Director Kenneth Brock or our High School Director Patrick Sanders.
Student CareGroup is a midweek opportunity for students to continue in their spiritual growth along with their peers and adult leaders. All student CareGroups meet on Tuesdays from 7:00 pm-8:30 pm downstairs in the student center. Middle School students meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month and High School students meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday (NO CG ON THE 5TH TUESDAYS). For questions regarding High School CareGroup, email Patrick Sanders. And for questions regarding Middle School CareGroup, email Kenneth Brock.
United is a weekly worship gathering on Sunday nights in the Student Center from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. This is a time where students 6th-12th grade can come to fellowship in song, games, and preaching of the Word.
